As part of our commitment to continually improve production processes, Intelligencer has partnered with Man Roland and Kodak to take all-digital workflow to the next level with Computer Integrated Manufacturing.
The result is a system that digitally integrates prepress, press and postpress operations, a concept known as CIP3. The data used to image the imposed plates is the same data used to create a digital file, which is then downloaded to the press via a network to set ink controls and calibrate output devices. The bottom line: shorter production cycles, faster make ready, greater accuracy, increased environmental-friendliness and reduced paper and ink waste.
