Metalessence™uses Ink System's brilliant silver to enhance four-color printing. It employs a wet trapping process to fill the spaces in between the dots with silver, creating richer, more vibrant results. So you can print a limitless palette of metallic colors in one pass on a five-color press.
Until now, printing more than one metallic color called for multiple metallic inks and multiple passes on the press. The results were often disappointing
since PMS metallics can leave excess pigment on the sheet. This diminishes the visibility of metallic flakes, and their ability to reflect light.
