Transfer Files–MAC or PC.

The OnDemand portal is a Web portal to the prepress environment that lets Intell’s customers work with print jobs over the Internet. OnDemand Portal helps to manage the file transfer, proofing, correction, and approval process so that it is more efficient.

If you do not have an account to access the OnDemand portal, please contact your Intell account representative. They will be able to have a account created for your exclusive use.

Uploading files is easy once you have your OnDemand logon account.

  1. Contact your account representative to let them know that you have a job to upload.
  2. Logon to OnDemand using your exclusive account.
  3. Select the Job from the list of jobs.
  4. On the Summary tab, click Upload Files.
  5. Drag files or folders from your desktop or network into the Upload Files dialog box, or browse to locate your folders and files.
Stuffing or zipping of files is not required.
  6. If desired, type a name for the upload and type a note describing the upload.
The note appears on the Summary tab and in the e-mail notification sent to users who are notified when files are uploaded.
  7. Click Upload.
  8. Files transferred onto our OnDemand portal cannot be deleted by the user. Please contact your Sales Representative or send an email to: ondemand@intellprinting.com so the file may be removed from the OnDemand portal.
  9. To take full advantage of Intell’s OnDemand file transfer site, print ready pdfs are preferred. We’ll even provide a discount for using print ready pdfs. Contact your account rep for more details. Here’s an online guide to assist you in creating print ready pdfs.

As an alternative to the OnDemand portal, we offer FTP file transfers. Before placing files on the FTP site, please follow the steps listed below.

  1. Intell will require all files associated with the project: fonts, layout document, high res images and if possible, items
such as Photoshop layered files. The "Collect" function in Quark or the "Package" option in Indesign is recommended.
  2. When placing working files, a low resolution pdf file of the complete project should be included. This will be
used to print out laser proofs to verify the accuracy of our ripped files.
  3. All files/ folders need to be placed into one folder and stuffed . Intell recommends .sit or .sitx formats. Available at
www.stuffitsoftware.com. ZIP and BIN formats are acceptable, but on occasion fonts tend to get corrupted.
PDF files can be stuffed but it is not necessary.
  4. Please use your company name as part of the file name. Especially when using the guest site. The Stuffed file can be renamed. (It is not necessary to re-name any of the working files) For example: abc company.sit
